What Size Can I Expect My Sheepadoodle to Be?

You are also able to get a Sheepadoodle in a standard size. That is a Standard Poodle bred to a Sheepdog. These guys can get big! You are generally looking at an 80 pound dog if not bigger. You can not get a standard Sheepadoodle at Open Range at this time.

If I Live in an Apartment or City Setting What Is the Best Option for Me?

Contrary to popular belief, it is not always best to place the smallest dog in an apartment or city setting. The smaller dogs may have more energy and not be the best to keep in a confined area. Our bigger dogs tend to be lazy and can be an awesome fit for someone that can only take them on a few walks a day.

What is the best size if I need a service dog?

This is actually completely dependent on what you are needing the dog for. If you have a slight disability where it makes it hard for you to bend and pick things up off the floor, you might consider a bigger dog. This way once the dog picks up whatever has been dropped you can reach its mouth with out having to bend.

If you need a PTSD service dog, or one that helps with anxiety or depression, the size is completely your choice! If you want the dog to lay across you in a flash back to provide comfort you will want it to be small enough where it wont hurt you, but big enough to apply pressure. If you have questions about this specific service, please contact Dawn to talk about options.
